Attention Court Monitors: Letter From Your President Regarding Tentative Agreement

We are proud to announce a Tentative Agreement between A.F.S.C.M.E Local 749 and The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch regarding Court Recording Monitors. This agreement has been an ongoing issue for over a decade. Both the Union and the Branch worked hard and came to a resolution that benefits our members for years to come.

Click here to read the Tentative Agreement.

The Union defended against privatization of court transcripts, State and Private, while providing growth in the Job classification. The agreement gives court monitors the following opportunities:

  • Ability to work do private transcript work in court buildings
